TRI FUEL 7500W GENERATOR »

Electric Start 120/240V Portable Generator

This generator works very well. Unfortunatelly, the model T07573 is sold exlusively at Costco. The price is almost a half of the model T09275 (11400W) and way less expensive than the matching model T07571 on FIRMAN, which is out of stock.

I use it with propane (LPG) as it is more convenient to load and unload. LPG gives 6750W when running. Still, it can power the house. 8-gallon (30-liter) gas tank is a great addition that will give extra power when needed. But it adds extra weight to existing 230lb (103kg) to move it around as a single piece.

Performance is great. During use of my welder Lincoln Electric 180 Amp with 230V input the input current is 22.5A the generator output voltage does not drop and the sound of engine does not change a lot.

TRI FUEL 11400W GENERATOR »

Electric Start 120/240V Portable Generator

This generator I wanted to buy at first. A lot of power – 11kW. 9-gallon gas tank allows it to run for 11 hours. Still, I planned to use LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), that had to provide 10400W and cover all my future needs (even to power the house during sever weather).

For a welder, the most consuming device is a welder. When connected to 230V it requires 22.5A that is effectively bellow 5500W. Definetelly overkill, but I will consider for the future.

Welding Helmet Shadow Lift Front Passive »

#10 Shade, 2 in (W) x 4 1/4 in (L) Window

A welder without a helmet is a blind human being. I found out, that passive glass works way better and more predictable then polirizing one, that failed me many times.

Face Shield »

Anti-Fog Window with Chin Guard

Welding helmet is for welding taks, for everything else this face shield is great.

Angle Grinder »

One-Touch Guard, 4-1/2 -Inch

Robust convenient grinder. Very good versatile tool for many things, including cutting tasks.

NEMA 14-50P Male to 6-50R Female »

250V/50A 10 Feet

Added to my shopping list. It does not look as thick as a short adapter I have, but 10 feet is a good extension to reduce noise from generator.

The generator is not that noisy as I expected, though.

NEMA 14-50P Male to 6-50R Female »

250V/50A 1 Foot

This is a missing piece of a generator. Welding machine cable ends with the plug 6-50R Male. There is a 230V to 120V power cord adapter (Type B Male to 6-50R Female), but it requires another adapter included with generator L14-30R Male to Type B Female). Those workarounds give 30A at most, while using this adapter 50A is the limit.

Maybe it was a bad call of mine, to get the short one. If it does not work well, I will get 10 feet long .

Weldeing Table »

Simple, cheap, serves the purpose

Something is better than nothing. Some parts are missing on arrival. Rust gets everywhere. For its price it is great for the start. Let’s see how many projects it will serve.

Sufficient tabletop for most of the tasks 42" x 21". A bit wobly. Spatters fuse to the surface very fast.
